NCIS: Origins is coming to CBS in October and two more have been added to the cast. Viewers will see Lori Petty and Bobby Moynihan alongside Austin Stowell, Kyle Schmid, Mariel Molina, Tyla Abercrumbie and Diany Rodriguez as the series goes back to 1991 and shows Jethro Gibbs’ younger days.

Deadline announced that “Petty will play an assistant medical examiner, while Moynihan will take on the role of lead forensic analyst.”

Sean Harmon was asked to play the role of young Gibbs, although he will not play the role in the new series. He has already appeared several times in NCIS: Secret Service Stories when flashbacks to Gibbs’ younger days were necessary. During CBS’ TCA panel on Saturday, he said the following:

“It was an honor to step into this world and play a character that my father created. It’s always been close to my heart. I never really wanted to make a career out of it. I was thrilled to take on the role of executive producer.”

NCIS: Origins comes on CBS on 14 October.
