Snoop Dogg and Death Row Records Cannabis unveil limited edition 2Pac collection

The exclusive line features new varieties, collectible photos and reinterpreted Death Row iconography and memorabilia

Fans can vote for their favorite strain named after shots to determine which strain will be included in the permanent 2Pac cannabis collection releasing this fall.

LOS ANGELES, July 15, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — When Snoop Dogg acquired Death Row Records (DRR) in 2022 and Death Row Records introduced cannabis into January 2023he vowed to restore the label to its former glory and support artists, hip-hop, and cannabis culture. Today, he’s fulfilling that promise with the launch of a limited-edition collection honoring one of DRR’s most legendary artists, 2Pac.

2Pac joined DRR in 1995 and quickly became one of the most influential rappers of all time. Beyond his music, 2Pac was a powerful voice for political and social change, using his platform to advocate for black rights in America.

Tellingly, Snoop Dogg chose 2Pac for DRR Cannabis’ first artist collaboration. Their connection is rooted in a shared history that goes beyond the label. 2Pac famously handed Snoop his first blunt, a story Snoop recalled when he inducted 2Pac into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2017.

“That first blunt was the beginning of a deep friendship,” Snoop recalls. “His music will always be with us, but this is a way for me to bring to his fans what was meaningful to 2Pac.”

Customers can choose from five strains: a crowd favorite, an Alien OG, and Take 1, Take 2, Take 3, Take 4 – phenotypes from the same parent genetics. Fans can vote for their favorite take via a QR code, with the winning take being included in the exclusive and permanent 2Pac collection set to release this fall. In addition to the buds in the jar, customers will receive one of four never-before-seen collectible photos of 2Pac in front of a wall covered in DRR graffiti, as well as a DRR matchbook that is an exact replica of the shoot.

This exclusive publication is initially available in selected California Pharmacies from Friday, July 19with a planned publication in Michigan by their partner, Pleasant treeslater this year.
