Today, adidas becomes the Official Apparel Partner of Sky Sports Golf, marking an exciting new chapter in the sport.
The partnership will kick off at the 152nd Open at Royal Troon, where the entire Sky Sports team will wear adidas clothing during the live broadcast. adidas and Sky Sports will aim to make every moment on and off the course more exciting, entertaining and accessible than ever before – attracting more fans and players to the sport.
The two brands are leaders in the sports industry and share a common goal of enhancing the golf experience for fans and athletes alike. Both adidas and Sky Sports are committed to presenting dynamic content, using cutting-edge technology and performance-led insights to introduce new products and stories that shape the future of the sport.
Under the agreement, adidas will provide apparel, footwear and accessories worn by Sky Sports Golf presenters, commentators and crew during live broadcasts and at all Sky Sports events.
adidas and Sky Sports believe that sport can change lives and this shared ambition has led to this partnership. Through this partnership, the brands will focus on making golf more accessible and inclusive for all, being sustainable through eco-friendly initiatives that reduce environmental impact, while keeping sport at the heart of everything they do.
Jason Wessley, Sky Sports Director of Golf, said:
“It is fantastic to be working with adidas, a brand that has been at the forefront of innovation and partnerships in golf over the past few years. We have a great opportunity to engage and engage a younger audience and all of us at Sky Sports Golf look forward to growing our partnership with adidas in the years to come.”
Andrew Law, General Manager at adidas – EMEA, said:
“We are incredibly excited about our new partnership with Sky Sports Golf. This partnership will further strengthen our position as a sports brand in golf and reach not only a wider golf audience, but all sports fans who follow the huge Sky Sports network.”
“The opportunity to further raise awareness of women’s golf is particularly exciting as our current partnerships with the Ladies European Tour and the AIG Women’s Open are perfectly complemented by this new agreement. Our joint efforts with Sky to make a meaningful impact at the grassroots level of golf, encourage more people to play the sport and give aspiring female athletes the opportunity to achieve their dreams is something we look forward to making a reality.”
Through this partnership, adidas and Sky Sports aim to get more young people interested in golf and inspire a new generation of golfers by driving change and progress within the golf community.
