‘You’re not going to come’: Patrick Mahomes humiliates Chris Jones with holdout reminder after sharing adorable moments from pregnancy announcement

Is there something fishy going on in the Kansas City Chiefs roster again? Patrick Mahomes is currently enjoying his offseason with numerous accolades, including ESPY awards, and celebrating the arrival of his third child with Brittany Mahomes with his family. But his bond with the team on the field is now being speculated by NFL fans due to some recently reported banter.

We all know what happened to Chris Jones last season. He skipped training camp because he wanted a new contract. Now, on July 14, Jones tweeted again about his future plans. This time, the Chiefs DT wrote: “I’m ready for training camp.“However, this tweet from Jones did not seem to go down well with his QB. The 28-year-old also used his official X-account and shared: “You’re not coming on Tuesday…

While fans were still trying to figure out what had happened between the two, Mahomes posted another comment in his thread. This time, he dropped three laughing emojis, supposedly confirming that it was playful banter between the two and nothing serious was going on.

This came long after Jones’ holdout last season, where he waited for the Chiefs to pay him the amount he demanded. Later, after he lost their first game, the franchise paid him a revised one-year contract that included several incentives for the 2023 season to end the holdout.

Now, just before the Chiefs’ training camp begins on Thursday, July 25, this banter has come up again, supposedly as a playful reminder from the quarterback to his defensive player. This time, however, there is no need to worry, as the Red Army has already resolved this issue beforehand.
