Will Zach Bryan perform at Larry’s in Covington? Country singer celebrates upcoming album in bar

COVINGTON, Kentucky – One of the hottest names in country music right now could be making an appearance at a local Covington bar.

Zach Bryan announced on social media on Thursday that he is celebrating his upcoming album, “The Great American Bar Scene,” by selecting 23 bars across the U.S. that embody the spirit of the album.

Larry’s All-American Café, located on W 9th Street on Main Street, is one of these lucky bars.

The 23 bars will play “selected tracks” from the album, which is set to be released on July 4. Celebrations at the bars begin on June 24.

“My intention is to give everyone a first look at this album, but more importantly, it’s about bringing people together for a memorable moment,” Bryan wrote on social media.

Larry’s also announced on Thursday that it had been chosen, saying: “The hangover is out of the bar. Larry’s is officially the coolest dive bar around.”

“When you walk into Larry’s, you’re greeted by the warm atmosphere of the vintage neon lights and the friendly smiles of our bartenders. Everyone is a friend and time stops for a moment to enjoy a beer the slow, old-fashioned way,” the bar wrote on social media. “…maybe that’s why Zach Bryan chose Larry’s as one of the select few bars in all of America.”

Bryan said in his post that unfortunately he couldn’t go to every bar selected, but he “will visit a few on the list to have a drink with you all.”

As it turns out, we’re just lucky that Bryan will be fairly close to Covington just before the bar festivities begin. The singer-songwriter is performing at the Buckeye Country Superfest in Columbus on Saturday and Sunday. So, in theory, since the festivities start on Monday, Bryan could easily drive the two or so hours to Larry’s on Monday.

While this would be a dream come true for both Bryan fans and Larry’s regulars, the exact date of the bar’s celebration is unknown. Larry’s said it will release more information about it soon.
