Reba McEntire responds to rumors that she is leaving “The Voice”

Reba McEntire will not be leaving “The Voice,” although a recent online article allegedly mentioned her exit from the NBC series.

The country legend posted a screenshot of the article on Instagram on February 25, with the word “false” written above it in red and capital letters.

“Please do not click on articles saying I am leaving The Voice. This is not true,” the singer wrote in her post. She also shared the same note on X.

“These are fake websites designed to lure people with clickbait, claiming that I have a company that sells gummy weight loss products,” she warned. “This is false. I do not sell or promote gummy products. Please report these posts if you see them on Facebook or Instagram.”

The “Fancy” singer was announced as a coach last May ahead of Season 24, the same month that longtime coach Blake Shelton last sat in his red chair. McEntire was previously a mega-mentor during Season 23 and now coaches alongside John Legend, Chance the Rapper and the duo Dan + Shay, with TODAY’s Carson Daly as host. Season 25 premieres on February 26 at 8 p.m. Eastern Time.

On the day McEntire was introduced as the new coach, May 15, she visited “The Voice” and sat in Shelton’s chair.

“I’m looking forward to being here with all of you,” she said at the time. “You’ve treated me so well. I really appreciate the hospitality you showed me earlier. And to come here and My “Team, I’m really looking forward to it.”

During her first season as coach, two of her contestants, Ruby Leigh and Jacquie Roar, made it to the season 24 finale in December. Leigh came in second and Roar came in fourth.
