USA and Europe as supporters of Israel are the biggest losers of the Gaza war

The Iranian Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned Israel’s recent attack on a UN-run school for Palestinian refugees in the Gaza Strip and strongly reprimanded the regime’s Western supporters for their silence on the regime’s crimes.

Ministry spokesman Nasser Kan’ani made the remarks late Sunday in a post on social media platform X.

“The attack by the Zionist child-murdering regime on a school run by UNRWA (the UN agency for Palestinian refugees) in the Gaza Strip has once again revealed to the whole world the dark and hidden side of the entitled West,” he said.

Kan’ani’s comments came after Israeli forces attacked a UNRWA school in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip earlier Sunday, killing at least 15 people and wounding 80 others.

The attack on the school came amid Israel’s 10-month-long genocidal war, which continues to systematically attack UNRWA shelters, schools and facilities throughout the besieged Strip.

“A regime that began its shameful life with occupation, massacres, murders, the killing of women and children and the destruction of Palestinian homes cannot be expected to behave humanely on the basis of international norms, because it is based on crimes,” an Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said.

Kan’ani added: “The unfortunate reality, however, is the silence and inaction of Western and European governments who claim to stand up for morality, law and human rights.”

The Iranian politician said that despite the numerous crimes and barbarism, Israel’s Western supporters “continue to deceive public opinion and play with words and phrases.”

“The United States and some European governments that support the Zionist regime, as well as the regime itself, are the main losers in the war against Gaza,” said the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman.

Kan’ani concluded: “They have not only lost the war, but also human morality and honor.”

The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas also condemned the attack as “a continuation of the ongoing war of extermination against our defenseless civilians … which represents a blatant Zionist challenge to the international community and a disregard for the UN’s calls for an end to the aggression against our people.”

So far, 38,584 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have fallen victim to the Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip. 88,881 others have been injured.
