Taylor Swift’s piano didn’t work properly during the Milan Eras tour: “Finally broken”

Taylor Swift thinks there was a glitch!

During her second Eras Tour show in Milan, 34-year-old Swift surprised her fans with two surprise mashups during the secret song section of the concert. The mishap happened after she performed a guitar mashup of Fearless (Taylor’s Version) Vault track “Mr. Perfectly Fine” and “Red” by Red (TV).

Things took an unexpected turn when she switched to the piano. The 14-time Grammy winner began a mashup of CallShe played “Getaway Car” and “Out of the Woods,” but barely got past the first few lines when her piano, painted with colorful flowers, stopped working.

“We finally broke this thing,” Swift told the crowd as she peered under the piano’s lid, as seen in a fan video on TikTok. A crew member can also be seen attempting to repair the instrument.

Another fan video on X (formerly Twitter) shows the triumphant moment after the piano was repaired. Swift closed the lid and said, “Oh, I did it!”

Swift performed “Getaway Car” three more times on the Eras Tour, the most memorable being her performance with frequent collaborator Jack Antonoff in East Rutherford, NJ.

Before her tour stop in Milan, Swift performed two shows in Switzerland, her first visit to this “breathtakingly beautiful” country, as she called it on Instagram.

To celebrate the 113th concert of the Eras Tour, she also treated the audience to her favorite songs in the “Secret Songs” section.

She opened the set with always Track “Right Where You Left Me” and the 1989 Song “All you had to do was stay.” Then she turned to Speak Now Songs “Last Kiss” and “Sad Beautiful Tragic” as a nod to the one-year anniversary since the release Speak Now (Taylor’s Version).

After Switzerland, Swift said on Instagram on July 11: “Pretty crazy considering there are only 7 cities left on the European leg of the tour.”

She then said that she had been looking forward to playing in Milan for a long time.

Since kicking off her European tour in France in May this year, Swift has released a new album and revamped her setlist to The “Tortured Poets” section Tracks and made it official with a royal selfie with her boyfriend Travis Kelce on Instagram.

Meanwhile, 34-year-old Kelce even made his stage debut on the Eras Tour. During the June 23 performance at Wembley Stadium in London, the NFL star helped Swift with the costume change sketch before “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.”

Kelce has been a fixture at her shows, attending all three of her London concerts, as well as those in Kansas City, Argentina, Australia, Singapore, France, Ireland and Amsterdam. Numerous celebrities have also made it to the shows and joined Kelce in the crowd.

After Milan, Swift’s record-breaking tour will include Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg and Munich in Germany, as well as Warsaw in Poland, Vienna in Austria and then London again for five more shows at Wembley Stadium.

The Eras Tour ends this December.
