Villages MAGA Club shows support for Trump after shooting

The Villages MAGA Club held a golf cart parade to show support for former President Donald Trump after he was injured in an assassination attempt on Saturday.

More than 120 golf carts decorated with Trump signs and flags gathered at Creekside Medical at Lake Sumter Landing on Sunday afternoon.

Villages MAGA Club President Tommy Jamieson led the parade around Lake Sumter Landing Square to Brownwood Paddock Square. Jamison said his wife, Valerie, was the driving force behind the parade, although she was not present. His wife was in Virginia and saw the assassination on television.

He said she called him to tell him Trump had been shot. He was eating dinner with his grandchildren at a restaurant when he got her call. He asked the waitress to turn on the television and they watched the news. Jamieson said his wife was inundated with emails and Facebook posts asking what the club could do, and she suggested a golf cart parade in support of President Trump.

The golf cart rally took place in less than 24 hours.

Village resident Mary Ladouceur took part in the parade in her float decorated with Trump signs.

She said what happened on Saturday was “absolutely horrific and was caused by all the vitriol of the liberals who caused all this madness.”

Village resident Keith Wolf said he saw the attack coming given Biden’s vicious comments the night before.
