Coldplay presents its new song “Good Feelings” at a concert in Rome

Coldplay has released a new song for some lucky fans in Italy.

The British band around the charismatic frontman Chris Martin presented the unreleased song “Good Feelings” at their concert on Friday (July 12) at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

“We fell in love in the summer/I remember baby, we felt the sun shining through/And we were born for each other,” Martin sings in the upbeat melody. “All the good feelings for each other/While we were dancing to the radio.”

Coldplay fans have known “Good Feelings” for a few years now. Rumor has it that a version of the song produced by Max Martin was intended for the band’s 2021 album. Music of the Spheresas a collaboration with the Chainsmokers, according to Rolling Stone.

The new version of “Good Feelings” will likely appear on Coldplay’s upcoming tenth album, Moon Musicwith vocals by Nigerian singer Ayra Starr.

In June, Coldplay released the new single “Feelslikeimfallinginlove”, produced by Martin, which was released on Moon Music. Martin sings: “It feels like I’m falling in love/ You throw me a life preserver/ Oh, not for the first time/ I know I’m not alone.”

Moon Music is set to be released on October 4. Martin has been teasing the new set for more than a year. In January 2023, he told Toronto City News that the band was about to finish the second LP he had promised in the Music of the Spheres series. He noted, “It’s going to be a while,” but hinted that the band will “maybe” start releasing some of the new songs live this year.

Coldplay’s current world tour supports BallsPremieres on March 18, 2022 in Costa Rica. The year-long journey is currently scheduled to end with the second of two shows at Eden Park in Auckland, New Zealand, on November 16.
