Calvin Anderson won the 2024 World Series of Poker He won the championship in eight games and won $10,000, beating a strong field of 189 competitors to claim his fifth gold bracelet and the $413,446 top prize.
Anderson was only the 41st player in WSOP history of winning five or more bracelets. The win was obviously very special for Anderson, as the format includes eight of the most popular poker variants.
“You play a lot of different games against all the top players. I’ve played against a lot of really, really good players along the way. I’ve run well, but I think I’ve also played really well. There are a lot of situations where I’m super happy with the way I’m playing. It feels good to get everything right,” Anderson said. WSOP Reporter.
This was the third-largest win of Anderson’s career, bringing his total earnings to nearly $7.2 million.
In addition to the hardware and money, Anderson also received a lot of ranking points for this victory. The final table included two-time bracelet winner Tom Koral (6th – $66,353), Poker Triple Crown winner Mike Watson (4th – $126,780) and bracelet winner Ali Eslami (3rd – $182,938).
The Japanese Dai Ishibashi earned the highest winnings of his career as runner-up with 271,351 US dollars.
