NASCAR Cup Series race at Pocono: Great American Getaway 400 live updates, highlights, live leaderboard

The NASCAR Cup Series will contest the 400-mile Tricky Triangle at the Great American Getaway 400 at Pocono Raceway on Sunday.

Ty Gibbs is on pole and is aiming for his first win in the Cup Series and a ticket to the playoffs.

Last week, Alex Bowman beat the entire field in almost total darkness on the wet Chicago street course to win and secure his place in the playoffs.

Round 25: Pit strategy in play before the stage ends

Bubba Wallace is the first car to head down pit road among those left out. Will others follow his example?

Lap 18: Martin Truex Jr. takes the lead; Josh Berry lags behind

Back on green: Martin Truex Jr. overtakes Ty Gibbs and William Byron with 2 out of 1 and takes the lead.

Gibbs fell out of the top five on this restart.

Josh Berry goes off track in Turn 1 and loses speed. He gets new tires and drives down the pit lane.

Round 14: Caution for Noah Gragson

Noah Gragson spins in turn 1 and backs into the wall. Pretty serious damage to the rear.

Gragson tells his team he’s fine after the big hit. As for the car, “We’re done.”

Some come into the pits. Others stay outside, including the leaders.

Round 5: Ty Gibbs pulls away

Ty Gibbs leads William Byron by 1.7 seconds. Several drivers, including Bubba Wallace, report difficult conditions. Chase Elliott tells his team he is happy with his balance of P13 but is “trying to get it going.”

Green flag! Ty Gibbs leads

Ty Gibbs leads the field to the green flag and is eventually able to take the lead to take the lead on lap 1. William Byron moves into second place ahead of Martin Truex Jr.

Kyle Busch starts at the end

According to FOX Sports, the RCR crew had to repair an oil line on the No. 8 Chevrolet while already on the grid on Sunday, which is why Kyle Busch will start at the back of the field.

Early rain gives way to better weather

An isolated thunderstorm cell passed over Pocono Raceway on Sunday morning, but the track should be back in operation in time for the scheduled green flag.

Corey Lajoie will start at the back of the field after his team worked on Spire Motorsports’ No. 7 Chevrolet after it clipped the wall in qualifying.
