Could 5-Star be Michigan Football’s next signing for 2025?

Could 5-Star be Michigan Football’s next signing for 2025?

The Michigan Football Association continued its recruiting efforts this weekend, securing the signing of three-star wide receiver Phillip Wright.

Wright is one of the lowest-rated players in Michigan football’s 2025 class, but that doesn’t make me any less excited about him. The wide receiver from Louisiana ran the 100-meter dash in 10.46 seconds, which makes me very excited about his future with the Wolverines.

Georgia has been in the running for Wright. LSU has also started to put pressure on him, and it doesn’t look like the Tigers will let up before signing day, as they will likely continue to press to get Wright.

Still, the Wolverines have done an excellent job, and having Ron Bellamy, also from Louisiana, on the team is paying off, as three players from that state have committed to the Class of 2025 – all in the last month or so.

Now, after an acceptance, the usual question arises: Who is next?

Who will be signed next for Michigan football?

Three 2025 recruits I think could realistically be the Wolverines’ next signings in the 2025 class. One of them is five-star offensive tackle Andrew Babalola.

Some recruiting experts have said Michigan football has the edge for Babalola, but no one has provided a crystal ball or expert projection. Still, it seems clear that this battle will be between UM and Stanford, and if Babalola wants to play in the NFL one day, the Wolverines are the best option.

Babalola doesn’t have a decision date yet, but it could come at any time. Andrew Marsh, a top-100 wideout, is expected to make a decision next month but could be the next commitment. Jayden Sanders, a four-star cornerback who will take an official visit to Ann Arbor later this month, is another good bet.

There is no decision date for any of these guys and I would say Babalola and Sanders are most likely next in line if they even choose Michigan, if only because Marsh talked about August as a timeline.

We will see.
