Streator Library Book Flea Market Continues Through July 19 – Shaw Local

The Streator Public Library book sale will be held Monday, July 15, from 10 a.m. to noon, through Friday, July 19, in the basement.

The library, 130 S. Park St., is hosting a video game character scavenger hunt the week of July 15. Search the library and find all the hidden items. The theme changes weekly.

4 to 5 p.m. Monday, July 15: Arts and Crafts with Maddy, ages 5 and younger. Create cute and fun projects to take home.

11am to 12pm Tuesday, July 16: Rock painting for all ages. Bring a rock from home. Painting will take place in the grass by the back door. Take your rock home or leave it in the rock beds in the library.

13:30 to 14:30 Tuesday, July 16: Little’s Art Time, ages 4 and up. Get creative with friends at the library. Resident artist Nate will spark imaginations.

17:00 to 17:30 Tuesday, July 16: Story time, play time. Ages 5 and younger. Hear stories from popular playmates.

10:30 to 11:30 am Wednesday, July 17: Lego: The Big Build, children ages 5 and up. Come join the Lego Club and help the library build their giant Lego island.

1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 17: Cozy Mystery: “On What Grounds” by Cleo Coyle, adults 18+. Ask at the counter which book the group is discussing this month.

4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 17: Creative Writing Wednesday, Teens/Adults. Do you like writing stories? Come to the library to write funny short stories.

3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, July 18: Playtime tournament, ages 10 and up and teenagers. A great tournament. Registration required at https://www.streatorpubliclibrary.org/

3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, July 19: Painting academy for teenagers and adults. The library invites you to a night full of colors.

5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, July 19: Laser tag, youth. Registration required at https://www.streatorpubliclibrary.org/

11am to 12pm Saturday, July 20th: Let’s dance, all ages. Head to the library for a “Just Dance” themed Zumba class.

6 to 7 p.m. Saturday, July 20: Weber Garden Storytime, public. Visit the library in the Weber House garden to hear a themed story, 1503 Baker St.
