Selena Gomez reveals she was the first to say “I love you” to her boyfriend Benny Blanco

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco have given their fans insights into their relationship.

The clip, which has been viewed more than 10 million times since its release on July 12, shows Gomez and Blanco sitting on a sofa while answering questions about their relationship.

The former Disney Channel actress sat cross-legged on a pink sofa with Blanco lying next to her as an off-screen voice asked, “Who said ‘I love you’ first?” Gomez smiled, pointed to herself and uttered the word “I.”

Blanco then wrapped his arms around the “Wolves” singer and kissed her on the shoulder.

The couple, who confirmed their relationship in December 2023, also revealed who is most likely to fall asleep during a movie. While Gomez raised her hand, Blanco also pointed to herself in response.

When asked “Who apologizes first in an argument?” Gomez and Blanco reacted in mixed ways. When the question came from off-screen: “Who eats the most?” they both pointed to the cookbook author.

When asked “Who spends more money?” the couple shrugged again. When asked who takes longer to get ready in the morning, Gomez pointed her thumb at Blanco. The songwriter looked at her and seemed to disagree, but the Wizards of Waverly Place Alum simply mouthed “You.”

When asked the next question, “Who snores the most?”, both shook their heads. When asked which of the two was more romantic, Gomez smiled subtly and waved her hands back and forth while Blanco pointed to herself.

When the voice-over asked, “Who cleans the house?” Blanco excitedly pointed to himself and Gomez nodded in agreement. The next question was, “Who likes to be the big spoon?” and the songwriter answered by putting his arm around Gomez.

The final question of the TikTok challenge was: “Who is most likely to forget that today is Valentine’s Day?” Both shook their heads firmly, confirming that neither of them would forget this special milestone.

Speculation of a romance between Blanco and Gomez arose in July 2023 after they collaborated on her recent single “Single Soon.” The two later confirmed their relationship in December when Gomez “liked” a post from celebrity news fan account PopFaction. Under the outlet’s Instagram post, captioned “Selena Gomez seemingly confirms she’s in a relationship,” she commented, “Facts.”

However, the couple immediately faced criticism when fans in the comments section called the music producer “unworthy of her.”

“I don’t understand,” Gomez wrote in response. “When you truly care about me, that’s when I’m at my happiest. If not, then feel free to say whatever you want. But I will never let your words dictate my life. Ever. I’m done. If you can’t accept me at my happiest, then don’t be in my life at all.”
