Atlanta police looking for person in connection with Turner Drive killing

The Atlanta Police Department Homicide Unit is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in connection with a homicide that occurred on June 18 near Peters Street and Ted Turner Drive.

At approximately 6:18 a.m., officers responded to reports that a person was at the location. Upon arrival, they discovered an unconscious man at the bottom of a staircase. The victim was not awake, conscious, and not breathing. Grady EMS then pronounced him dead. Homicide was immediately notified and arrived at the scene to begin the investigation.

Initial findings from the analysis of video recordings suggest that a physical altercation may have led to the victim’s death. The police assume that a man brutally beat the victim to death.

The Atlanta Police Department has released images of the individual in question and is asking anyone with information to come forward. Individuals who provide information leading to an arrest may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000. It is important to note that the information released is preliminary and subject to change as the investigation progresses.
