Compared to Spain, the English stars dominate the ranking of the most expensive players ahead of the 2024 European Championship final in Berlin.

The CIES Football Observatory had rated the Three Lions team as the team with the highest transfer value before the tournament.

Gareth Southgate’s team was valued at £1.45 billion, while Spain came fourth at £919 million.

To calculate this value, the value of more than 6,000 transfer contracts and the prices paid in the past for players with similar characteristics were examined.

The research group has now ranked the top ten player transfer values of the English and Spanish teams as the two teams meet in the final of the 2024 European Championship.

Jude Bellingham is the most valuable player with £176 million according to CIES Football Observatory
Lamine Yamal, the 17-year-old sensation, is Spain’s highest-ranked player, occupying fourth place on the list.

First and foremost is English star Jude Bellingham: the Real Madrid midfielder’s estimated net worth is £245 million (€285 million), just over a year after he joined the Spanish record champions for £113 million.

Following are Phil Foden of Man City, the Premier League player of the season, and Bukayo Saka of Arsenal.

The couple are in second and third place with values of £176 million (€205 million) and £160 million (€186 million) respectively.

17-year-old Spanish sensation Lamine Yamal is La Roja’s highest-ranked player on the list, coming in fourth.

Yamal, who shone for Spain throughout Euro 2024, was valued at £134 million (€156 million) by the CIES Football Observatory.

Cole Palmer, who has been used as a substitute by Gareth Southgate throughout Euro 2024, is in fifth place with £108 million (€126 million), ahead of Declan Rice, who is valued at £92 million (€108 million).

Despite only playing five minutes in the final group match against Slovenia at Euro 2024, Anthony Gordon is also in the top 10 with a valuation of £74 million (€87 million).

The winger is behind Rodri, with the Man City midfielder the second highest-valued Spanish player at £84 million (€98 million).

Nico Williams and injured midfielder Pedri complete the top 10. Both are valued at £74 million (€86 million) and £73 million (€85 million) respectively.

Perhaps surprisingly, England captain Harry Kane does not make the top 10, even though the 30-year-old moved to Bayern Munich for £100 million last summer.
