Billy Corgan is a married man!

The 56-year-old frontman of the Smashing Pumpkins has married his long-time partner Chloe Mendel. Speaking to WGN at the band’s celebration of the 30th anniversary of their album Siamese DreamCorgan announced that he and Mendel got married on Saturday.

His good news came when he hosted a pop-up shop and performed a special acoustic concert at Madame Zuzu’s — a tea shop, vegan restaurant and performance venue in Highland Park, Illinois, co-owned by Corgan and Mendel.

According to WGN, the festivities included two concerts recreating the band’s 1993 release party at Tower Records, as well as updated band merchandise and vinyl records.

This is Corgan’s second marriage; she was briefly married to art conservator Chris Fabian from 1993 to 1995.

He and Mendel, 31, have been together since 2012 and got engaged in September 2022 on Mendel’s 30th birthday. “The day ended with a marriage proposal,” Mendel’s Instagram caption read at the time. “Of course I said yes ❤️.”

Mendel is the creative director and co-founder of the fashion brand Maison Atia, a luxury outerwear brand. Her father is Gilles Mendel, the French atelier designer and CEO of the luxury fashion brand J. Mendel, which has been owned by the Mendel family for five generations.

She and Corgan have a daughter, Philomena, who turns 5 in October, and a 7½-year-old son, Augustus.

Earlier this month, Corgan spoke about touring with his two children for 10 days without Mendel. “As for the two people next to me in this photo, I had them with me on this tour for approximately 10 days with no help other than the tour staff (thank you!) to protect them during those two hours on stage; otherwise they were my ‘problem’ to deal with morning, noon and night,” Corgan wrote in an Instagram post at the time.

In the photo, Corgan posed with two peace signs while his two children stood on the bench he was sitting on and put their arms around him.
