Nancy Cartwright, voice of Bart Simpson, confirms that Sabrina Carpenter is her niece
Yes, it’s true: the actor who voices Bart Simpson is related to Sabrina Carpenter.
In a TikTok video posted Tuesday, Nancy Cartwright, the Emmy-winning actress who plays Bart on “The Simpsons,” confirmed that she is the aunt of Carpenter, the 25-year-old “Please Please Please” singer.
When a fan asked during a Q&A if Carpenter was her niece, Cartwright replied, “Yes! Absolutely!”
“You may have known me for a while, photographed this little 10-year-old boy for 35 years – and some of you for much less – and (then) you find out I’m related to this superstar. She’s pretty incredible.”
TikTok users beamed at the revelation in the video’s comments section.
“As a Simpsons fan and Sabrina Carpenter lover, it’s so cool to find out,” one person wrote.
Another joked: “But why does it make sense for Sabrina to be related to Bart Simpson??? This really is a family attitude 🤣🥰🤣.”
“Can we hear Bart sing Espresso?! PLEEEEE,” someone else asked, referring to the popular single from Carpenter’s upcoming sixth album, “Short n’ Sweet,” out August 23.
Cartwright, 66, has voiced mischievous skateboarder Bart since the series first aired in 1989. She also voices other “Simpsons” characters, including Maggie Simpson, Todd Flanders, Ralph Wiggum and others.
Carpenter, who recently announced her “Short N’ Sweet” tour, has also tried her hand at acting, having starred in the Disney Channel series “Phineas and Ferb” and “Girl Meets World.”
